From the winds and rains to long days and sunshine, seasons of life also change. This climatic change means change in your wardrobe and with every new season brings a new style and fashion with it. New colors and trends get introduced. At the end of every season your wardrobe feels like it is time for a refresh!
We always want a unique and individual design in our wardrobe. People are always loyal to the designer brands they are buying from. People like the clothes that brings out the charm and style but also have creativity in it. The forthcoming change in season means shift in fashion forward dressing. Winters should not be associated with boring fashion! Bright, loud prints and rich beautiful textures should be introduced. Wool and velvet makes this season our favorite. No need to limit your fashion to dark prints just because weather is cooling down. Indulge in sparkle and cozy up in over sized knit dresses.
“Clothes aren’t going to change the world, women who wear them will.” – Anne Klein
Fashion refers to the style of dresses that are now popular. By the way, fashion is not just your clothes its your shoes, jewelry and even your hair style. Many people give fashion high priority. The one thing about fashion that stays the same is: It always changes! Seasons come and go and so does the fashion.
Why do fashion change? Its simple… like people change, seasons change and so, fashion ultimately changes as well. Overtime the new substitutes the old. Fashion is greatly influenced by the popular culture. In every season, people seek out latest fashion in clothes, shoes and jewelry, etc. Some people like to follow the celebrities also. In this way, fashion progresses and sometimes new fashion evolve. With a new season just pay a trip to the nearest malls or browse online stores and you will get the items you are looking for all the fashionable collection you can get there. In recent years, summer collection have included exotic colorful flowers and mini skirts with a pair of sunglasses. While the winters have rounds of worthy black dresses and layered pattern clothes.
“Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak.” – Rachel Zoe
We wear differently in different seasons in order to adjust with the changing atmospheric conditions (suitable for the season). For example, in summer it is suitable to wear cotton clothes as they absorb sweat and in winter it is suitable to wear woolen cloths as they do not let the heat to go out (retains heat). It’s all about adaption of the climatic conditions.
Winter clothing is basically used for protection against the particularly cold winter weather. Winter clothes are especially outerwear like coats, jackets, hats and gloves or mittens, but also warm underwear like long underwear, union suits and socks. One can start with fleece tights and a cozy flannel shirt, you could even put a t-shirt underneath, then layer on your favorite jeans and a cardigan. Go for a trendy over sized wool coat and a pair of practical winter boots to keep out the cold. Lastly, accessorize with a scarf, a pair of warm gloves and a knitted headband.
In spring-summer, fabrics like cotton, eyelet, tropical wool and linen are the most commonly used for spring dresses as well as shorts or beach wear, these types of fabric soak sweat and allow the air to flow in the clothes for a fresher feeling in hot days. White pants are the great wardrobe multiplier. On a cool spring day, wear them with a bright cashmere sweater or even a leather jacket. You can dress up white jeans by ironing a crease down the front, and pairing with a button down and jacket. If it’s cold, wear a lighter colored ankle boot.
Clothes are used to express you and many fashion magazines helps in learning the latest styles. People use clothing to distinguish themselves. Stay true to yourself and let your personality do the talking, develop your unique and separate style from what the fashion world offers. Now there is also a trend to make fashion a sort of season less style. We live in a world where we spend time in artificially cold and warm weather, thanks to our environments we use air conditioning in winters and central heating in summers, this discrimination among seasons are not clear as they once were. Whites have become more common in winters now than in summers. Long coats, fur coats and short skirts are all seen and adored mostly in white. While summer brings a ‘GO BRIGHT!’ motto with it. The ever popular slip dresses are also seen during summers, this 80’s trend was and still is very popular among men and women of all ages. Men would go for something light in springs and summers, like a casual tee or a shirt with a light jacket or a cardigan to be used as a second layer, a pair of jeans or cargo shorts along with their hat and shoes. For winter, a slightly heavier jacket or a coat is worn or the use of wool increases, like woolen hat, sweaters and gloves, etc. Stripes pattern is also used by some during different seasons and looks ever young and unique. Spring also comes with bags and jewelry, and people buy the handy, tiny and various bags in spring to go along with their style and look. Gold and silver bangles and bracelets are also seen capturing people’s interest. Mostly in seasons we see some unusual fabrications. We can see black embroidered leather and sometimes printed flowers on linen. Sequins are also commonly seen on certain dresses and accessories.
“Fashion is what you are offered four times a year, style is what you choose.” – Lauren Hutton
It is good and it definitely feels good to wear stylish and fashionable clothes but in my opinion one should go for comfort level also. Wear whatever you want to wear because your style show your personality. Choose wisely!
